ABOUT OUR NON-PROFIT
Farmer Bob’s World
Each marvelous piece of fruit we grow, pack and ship has an inspirational story attached to it. At Farmer Bob’s World we educate the public about Agriculture and how nutritious food is cultivated. We strive to bring the entire scope of the Ag Industry to life for urban students, families, businesses and visitors from around the world, who visit our farm. Our unique one-stop educational adventure does not exist anywhere else in the world, and this special place happens to be right here in Tulare County.
Through initial support from Bob McKellar, Farmer Bob’s World is now not just a vision, but a reality. Students, as well as local and international groups, have been learning about our industry through group tours since 2013. In 2016, the organization became a 501(C)3 educational facility, focused on Ag-education.
Farmer Bob’s World represents not only the ag industry in the Central Valley, but the overall citrus industry and its importance to the vitality and economy of California. It is the mechanism for our children to see what careers exist in the industry and where their future can be. It shows the ag industry in general, and the citrus industry in particular, affects the lives of so many and touches so many other seemingly unconnected industries. Farmer Bob’s World is an example of where STEM (science, technology, economics and math) and world culture all come together in real life. This is your chance to be part of this unique organization.
The additional educational exhibits planned for Farmer Bob’s World will blend history, culture, science, engineering, economics and finance, marketing, technology and other elements of the ag industry to give each visitor a truthful understanding of how our industry contributes to the well-being of our community. Educational programming will be multi-tiered, enabling the use of exhibits for a wide age range of topics with sophistication and depth of learning. We intend to focus on diverse concepts such as sustainable farming, cultural practices, water conservation, food safety, and distribution systems to support worldwide ag sales.

Our organization has worked with The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), a global leader in online training and certification programs, to be designated as a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC). Our staff has completed training and certification in best practices when assisting autistic individuals. By undergoing additional autism-specific training, the goal is for our team to be better equipped to provide better service and experiences to all. Click to learn more about Certified Autism Center™
