Ag-Education and Ag-Tourism does more than entertain guests or give people something to do. Agriculture is the largest industry in the Central Valley and makes more than 47.1 billion for the State of California. This is 2 percent of the state’s economy, but it is the largest amount for any state and up to 12.5 percent of the total agricultural production for all 50 states. There are more than 400 commodity crops grown across California, including a significant portion of all fruits, vegetables, and nuts for the United States. The Central Valley doesn’t just feed California, it feeds the world.
Farmer Bob’s World teaches children, families, businesses and tourists what it is to be a farmer, grow citrus in the valley and educates people on where their food comes from. People are getting disconnected from Farmers and farm life, and we love to bring them out to experience nature, fresh air and citrus.
