On Friday, April 22nd, 200 guests attended the 4th Tree to Table/Dinner in the Groves event in Ivanhoe. The event helped raise funds to support the Ag-Education tours at Farmer Bob’s World. The organizations mission is to foster the relationship between farmers, food and families by offering a real farm experience. Guests had the opportunity to experience the “Farm Tour” firsthand with a wagon tour of the farm to start the event.
The wonderful steak dinner was prepared by Chef Kellie Black and local rancher Craig Ainley. The silent and live auction added to the events total revenue that raised $50,000 for Farmer Bob’s World.
The event highlight was an award presentation to the Gless Family as the first Citrus Family of the Year. Senator Melissa Hurtado attended in person and presented the family with a Certificate of Appreciation, as did Clayton Smith from Congressman David Valadeo’s office. Thank you to all the sponsors and individuals who supported the ‘Tree to Table/Dinner in the Groves’ and thank you to all the silent and live auction donors, volunteers and staff.
